Long Distance Prayer

It’s been a bit since we’ve been together.

Now, we’re just two lives so completely far from each other.

I still miss you and care. Both - habitual behaviors.

But more than that, I want you to meet our Savior.

I’m totally helpless for answers, so to Jesus I run

Since He loves you even more and will go after the one.

So I hope for a miracle, watch from afar,

And pray this long distance prayer, “Lord, please save that hardened heart”

I explained all that I could and was a light.

Yet, you still showed no interest or spiritual fight.

It was time for “goodbye,” though there were words left unsaid.

It all came so quick, but it was best for “us” to end.

~

Since He loves you even more and will go after the one.

So I hope for a miracle, watch from afar,

And pray this long distance prayer, “Lord, please fill that empty heart”

I don’t know why mountains still haven’t been moved

I don’t know why I’m still so confused

My God is SO good, but apathetic are human thoughts

“Oh, Why, God, can’t you reveal to him the power of the cross?”

I see him struggle. Why does he still decline?

Until he knows You, he truly won’t know life’s whys and life’s hows.

Meanwhile, my heart is still longing for something not mine

And wondering when I’ll know the why and see my future’s hows?
